Whatever your budget, there is an SUV for you


Mahindra Bolero: Rs 6.23-7.17 lakh

The Bolero is one of the most rugged SUVs from Mahindra's stable. It is powered by a 2523 cc m2DiCR diesel engine that produces a maximum power of 63 bhp and a maximum torque of 195 Nm.


Range Rover Evoque: Rs 45-58 lakh

The Evoque, which was launched/Released in November last year, comes in one petrol and three diesel variants. All diesel variants are powered by 2,197 cc engines, while the petrol variant comes with a 1,999 cc option.




Luxury: Rs 60 lakh-Rs 1 crore

Porsche Cayenne: Rs 60.69 lakh-Rs 1.28 crore

The Cayenne has been tagged the world's best SUV by one and all. The petrol variant is powered by a 3598 cc, 6-cylinder engine that churns out 300 bhp and 400 Nm of maximum torque. The car can go from 0 to 100 kmph in just 7.5 seconds. The diesel variant is powered by a 2967 cc engine that can generate a maximum power of 240 bhp at 4,000 rpm and 550 Nm at 2,000-2,500 rpm.


Mercedes G55 AMG: Rs 1.34 crore

The G55 AMG is among the most expensive SUVs, and very few can be seen on Indian roads. The 5.5 litre bi-turbo V8 engine delivers a massive 544 bhp and a maximum torque of 760 Nm, among the best in this class.

BMW X6: Rs 76.2-93.4 lakh

The X6 comes in two petrol variants, both powered by 4.4-litre engines that produce a peak power of 400 bhp at 5500-6400 rpm and churn a peak toque of 600 Nm at 1750-4500 rpm. The diesel variant, powered by a 3-litre engine, generates 235 bhp of power and 520 Nm of maximum torque.


Toyota Land Cruiser: Rs 99.27 lakh

The Land Cruiser is powered by a 4.4-litre diesel engine that produces a maximum power of 195 bhp at 3400 rpm and a maximum torque of 650 Nm.


Evade: Rs 8.5 crore

Priced at Rs. 8.5 crore, the Evade is the costliest SUV available in India. The vehicle is powered by a 6.8-litre engine that churns out 400 bhp of power at 2215 Nm of torque.


Renault Duster: Rs 7.19-11.29 lakh

Renault is banking on this SUV to turn around its fortunes in the Indian market. The petrol variant is powered by a 1598 cc engine that produces 100.3 bhp at 5850 rpm and a maximum torque of 145Nm at 3750 rpm. The diesel version is powered by 1461cc engine.

Mid-range: Rs 10-18 lakh

Mahindra Scorpio: Rs 7.79-12.63 lakh

Mahindra's flagship SUV is powered by a 2.2 litre, four-cylinder mHawk diesel engine that churns out 120 bhp of power with 290 Nm of torque.


Tata Safari: Rs 8.28-13.25 lakh

The Safari, one of the oldest SUVs in the Indian market, has a 2.2-litre, 16-valve VTT DICOR engine that churns a power of 140 bhp at 4000rpm.

Executive: Rs 18-30 lakh

Toyota Fortuner: Rs 21.15-22.32 lakh

The Fortuner comes in only one engine variant, a 3-litre diesel that yields out 142 bhp of power with a maximum torque of 343Nm.


Audi Q3: Rs 26.71-32.1 lakh

Audi's baby SUV was launched in India in June this year. The 2-litre TDI Quattro diesel engine can churn out 177 bhp at 4200 rpm along and 380 Nm of maximum torque at 1750-2500 rpm.

Mitsubishi Pajero: Rs 24.43 lakh

The Pajero comes in five variants that are powered by two diesel engine options—a 2.4-litre and a 2.8-litre. The larger engine churns out 108.7 bhp of power at 2000 rpm and 275 Nm of maximum torque.


Premium: Rs 30-60 lakh

BMW X3: Rs 42.9-49.8 lakh

The SUV comes in two diesel options—a 2-litre and a 3-litre. The smaller engine produces a peak power of 130 kW and maximum torque of 350 Nm at 1,750 rpm. The vehicle can zoom from 0 to 100 kmph in 9.2 seconds.
