Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG Electric Drive release date

Mercedes Benz rolled out its fancy and all new SLS AMG Electric Drive at the Paris Motor Show this September. This makes the SLS AMG the most powerful and environment friendly production electric car of all time. This beast is powered by 4 electric motors; one responsible for each wheel which gives the car a permanent 4 wheel drive. Each of these permanent-magnet synchronous electric motors is around 45 kgs and achieves a maximum individual speed of 13,000 rpm. By the looks of the SLS AMG, it shows similarities to the standard SLS model however the mechanism is completely different. The car can go from naught to 100kph in a sprint time of 3.9 seconds, has a top speed of 250kph which is again electronically limited and can be charged in 3 hours flat with the help of a special charging box and in 20 hours via a regular household charging point. It has a maximum battery range of 250kph. So yeah, you can enjoy your drive at full speed for an hour until it’s time to recharge the battery again.
